Thor....

A good family friend, Dave Bosen, has called Tylor "Thor" since before he was born.  The Sunday before he was blessed Dave told Matt he wouldn't be a real man unless he named him Thor David.  He even said he would bring a hammer to his blessing (We are still waiting for his hammer.)  Needless to say the nickname has stuck and there are several people who call him Thor.  I thought it fitting to dress him up as Thor for Halloween.  I only got a couple of pictures on Halloween so the other day I put him back in his costume and took some more....I think we could pitch him to Marvel as the next Thor. What do you think?
Do you see the fierce crime fighting, bad guys beware look in his eyes?
What about the in the distance I sense damsel in distress stare?
Or um...can we try that scene again?  I think I need to work on my throw?

Or my personal favorite...
Bloopers! (I love his face in this one...so much personality packaged so neatly in such a tiny package that can't wait to get out.)

This one is actually from Halloween.  You'll notice a few items missing from his costume above...they couldn't be found when I took those pictures.  When I first started working on his costume I was worried about two things.  One getting enough muscle to get the point across, and whether or not he would actually wear whatever head piece I could actually get to work.  Slowly the inspiration came...and I was so grateful!  I loved the way the muscles turned out and he didn't rip the head piece off like he does all the hats I put on his head....there may or may not be a post about this later (but don't hold your breath we all know how I blog.)

I loved the belt too but you could hardly see it when he was sitting because of all his muscles!  Oh and if you have seen on Pinterest about dying stuff using Kool-aid I don't recommend trying it on white cotton tights(neither do they for that matter)  They turned out a grey blue and the color washed out a lot. I ended up using a pair of fleece pants that he already had...perfect superhero blue!  "You over EAGER son of a...." first time mom! (name that movie)
I liked this picture too.

Oh and this one.  I had some extra material leftover from his cape that he played with through out the day while I finished up his costume....I think he liked the silky!

MY EVERY DAY HERO!
