Brothers...

These boys love one another so much it melts my heart... Tylor will walk near Talmage and Talmage grinds from ear to ear. First thing when Tylor wakes up he comes looking "brober? Brober?" If Talmage cries Tylor is looking to help.

Today....

Sometimes it's hard to live in the moment, with children it's nearly impossible not to.

This morning I was sitting on our bed, Talmage had just eaten and Tylor came and crawled on the bed with us. Talmage grinned at Tylor. He loves his brother so much already. Tylor said something on his little voice that I could quite understand. He repeated himself a couple of times before reaching for Talmage. "Hold? Hold?"  He loves to hold and play with his brother.

We bought character fruit snacks last week at the store. As I've been giving them to Tylor I open the package and tell him which character is which and he's been sorting them into piles. Today I handed him Rex from Toy Story. He turned to put it on the table and then got a little grin. He turned back to me "rawr!"

As I have sat writing this, Tylor came to me saying "cake? Cake?" licking frosting from Matt's birthday cake from his finger.

Cheese!

So Tylor really likes cheese!  I had nearly forgotten about this until I looked at these pictures.  I made lasagna for Grandma Johnson's birthday.  I was loading the car to head to their house after carrying out a load I came in to find Tylor stealing cheese off the uncooked lasagna, giggling the whole time.

He had pulled up on corner of the aluminium foil and had taken several handfuls in the short time it had taken me to carry out the first load.

So proud of his spoils!

Earlier in the day I had walked into the kitchen to discover this...

Sorry this picture is over exposed but one of my favorites.

It was a box of dryer sheets...Somewhere I have pictures of him emptying a box of wet wipes.

Bubba....

Just over ten years ago one of the sweetest little boys I know was born.  I remember sitting in the hospital holding him and thinking that there was something very special about him.  Almost two years later (I think) he was diagnosed with Asperger's.

I remember sitting under the apple tree at Grandma Harris's as he pegged Aimee with accuracy and force that I didn't know a child of his age was capable of.

When I got pregnant with Tylor he was so excited he had been telling his mom for several weeks before that he wanted a little brother. He was so excited when he found out I was having a little boy and had decided they were going to be best friends.

This is one of my favorite pictures he had stopped by for a few moments right before I headed to a horse show.  The Peterbilt hat he's wearing is something he was distraught without.  He's got a particular order that he goes through Grandma's house when he enters.

The last time I saw him he was reciting his time tables....It's been so amazing to watch the transformation as he's grown and gotten the help he's needed.  When he was diagnosed he was developmentally behind and to see him in a normal classroom is such a blessing.

The perch

One of Tylor's favorite places in our back yard is sitting on top of the fence post where the gate latches for the dog run. There is a post that stabilizes it that runs about a 45° angle that he occasionally tries to walk like a balance beam. Most of the time he climbs alongside it up the horse panel on the corral.

He'll sit for a few moments and watch the dog.

He usually needs help getting down but often climbs right back up.

Sunday afternoon at Grandma and Grandpa's

Yesterday after Sunday dinner Tylor went outside to play. I went out to check on him and found him the the coal trailer. It made me giggle...he told me they were rocks. He played outside for quite a while. When we got ready to head home, Matt went to get him and said one of his shoes was full of coal. As you can see he had pulled off his socks and shoes and had a ball!

Snow boots.....

I thought I had written about these before but I can't seem to find any post about them...

About a month ago I was at DI and saw this CARS boot it was a couple sizes bigger....about the size i think Tylor will be this winter! I searched and found the other one....SCORE! I tossed them in the cart and continued shopping. I looked in the cart a few minutes later and Tylor had taken his shoes off and put the boots on and wouldn't take them off.

Today after church, Tylor was telling Matt he wanted to go for a ride in the truck. Matt told him he needed to change his clothes out of his church clothes. He disappeared into his room and Matt and I continued our conversation in the kitchen. A few minutes later Tylor emerged... White shirt, black tie, pin stripped black pants and CARS snow boots. He told Matt "truck" and walked toward the front door.

Oh my goodness this kid cracks me up! He keeps me on my toes and I love it! Thanks for the laughter little dude!
